Visitor Center Picnic Area Details
Situated near the banks of the Virgin River, the Zion Canyon Visitor Center features a three-dimensional model of Zion Canyon as well as other exhibits, including a computer-generated simulation of the geological processes that helped form the park. You can also get information from park Rangers here, make reservations for backcountry hiking and other activities, and shop for books, maps, posters, and other park materials at the bookstore. This visitor center is open every day of the year except Christmas.
