The Sentinel Details
The northernmost peak in the Court of the Patriarchs, and one of the most prominent features in the park, this 7,157-foot sandstone mountain looms over the surrounding canyon. It's naturally sculpted, jagged summit and black- and red-streaked steep slopes rise over the richly forested valley below, creating one of the most stunning and unmistakable vistas in Zion National Park. Of all the Zion landmarks, this is perhaps the most popular, and with good reason.
