The Organ Details

Formally named "the Great Organ," this narrow fin was created by the rushing waters of the Virgin River, and sticks out fairly far into Zion Canyon. The jagged top of the fin appears to some as the pipes of an organ; it was named by hikers touring the park with a Methodist minister during the early 20th century. The Organ is best seen from Observation Point, although there are a number of other decent views from other points along the East Rim.
