Sand Bench Trail Details

The best way to experience this trail in the summer is by taking one of the park's horse tours; otherwise, it's a long, hot, and sandy slog with little shade. In the winter, however, it's an enjoyable morning hike that's convenient to Zion Lodge but will quickly get you away from the crowds for a 3.5-mile, three-hour walk.
