Sand Beach Trail Details
Named after the beach-like appearance of the reddish soil on top of the plateau, this moderate loop trail ascends nearly 500 feet from the banks of the Virgin River through a thin deciduous forest until it reaches the top of the plateau. While this is not the most typical of Zion National Park trails, it does provide some of the most accessible, stunning views from the top of the plateau, including iconic landmarks like the red spire of the Watchman, the rainbow face of The Streaked Wall, and the massive bulk of The Sentinel.
