Mountain of the Sun Details
Catching the first and last rays of sunshine in Zion National Park, this massive sandstone-faced mountain sits near the two red peaks that make up the Twin Brothers. Prior to 1925, the Mountain of the Sun was actually one of the "Three Brothers," but was renamed because of how different it was from the other peaks. Most accessible when viewed from the Canyon Scenic Drive, this white-capped, domed mountain is a favorite of experienced rock climbers who love its sheer cliff faces and stunning red and white striped facade.
