At the junction of the Notom Bullfrog Road and Burr Trail Road inside Capitol Reef, drivers can head south on Burr Trail, also known as BLM 12000) to Lake Powell at Bullfrog Marina. Burr Trail south of the junction remains unpaved for nearly 11 miles to Eggnog Junction. From there it continues another 23 miles to Bullfrog Marina at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (NRA). The road to Lake Powell is paved from Eggnog Junction south to the boundary of Glen Canyon NRA. Drivers can also visit Hall's Creek Overlook via an access road along this section of the drive; it's marked by signs. Within Glen Canyon NRA, there's a section of unpaved road at Bullfrog Creek Crossing. The road from Capitol Reef to Bullfrog Marina is usually in good condition with the exception of the Bull Creek Crossing, which may be impassable due to deep water, cut banks and mud. Check at the visitor center before embarking.
