Goosenecks Point Details
Maybe this overlook gets its name from visitors craning their neck to take yet another amazing Capitol Reef view? Actually, the moniker stems from the fact that Sulphur Creek has cut a tight bend, known as a gooseneck, into the sandstone below. But either interpretation is valid to us. Enjoy the view of the canyon from 800 feet up, keep a sharp eye out for hikers below, but mind the rim! Also, don't forget to also check out the nearby Sunset Point and Panorama Point.
