Cottonwood Campground Details
The Cottonwood Campground is located within a shady desert oasis between Castolon and the Santa Elena Canyon along the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive. It is one of the most remote and least busy campgrounds in the park, making it a wonderful place to bring children. Its convenient location makes day trips a breeze. There are no hook-ups available, but there are pit toilets, grills, water, picnic tables and 24 campsites for your choosing. Campsites are $14 per night and reservations can be made by calling (877) 444-6777 or by visiting the [Recreation website](http://www.recreation.gov/campground/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=74087). Big Bend National Park cannot make reservations for you. There is also a reservation-required group site available which accommodates a minimum of 9 and maximum of 25 visitors at a time.
