Sanctuary Trail Details

You'll find the Sanctuary Trail in the northern end of the park, off of Highway 87 just south of the Rankin Ridge Fire Tower Road. This moderate, 3.6-mile (one way) trail connects to the Highland Creek Trail. On the way, you'll pass through a prairie dog town and get views of the Rankin Ridge Fire Tower. In 2000, this trail was used as a firebreak for a wildfire that burned 1,135 acres.
