Horsethief Lake Campground Details
This is one of the closest campgrounds to Mount Rushmore National Memorial. It is situated lakeside and is very popular, especially during the summer. There are 36 sites, five of which are accessible. Sites cost $24 per night, plus $2 for every additional vehicle. The campground offers vault toilets and potable drinking water. It is located off Highway 244, roughly two miles west of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. You can reserve sites here, though reservations are not required.
