Flume Trail Details
The Flume Trail runs 11-miles (one way) along the path of the old Rockerville Flume, which transported water between Spring Creek and the gold-mining operation at Rockerville. Using this flume, miners in the 1880s panned over $20 million in gold. The trail is a designated National Recreational Trail. Some parts of the flume are still intact, and you'll see other historical artifacts as well as passing by Sylvan Lake. Please be respectful of the historical remains by leaving them untouched. The trail is moderate and gains 900 feet in elevation. The trailhead is located at the Sheridan Lake Campground, off Highway 385; the trail ends at the Coon Hollow Trailhead off Country Road 233.
