Deerfield Trail Details

The Deerfield Trail, most often referred to as Trail #40, runs 18 miles between the Pactola Reservoir and Deerfield Lake. You'll pass through a number of wildlife habitats and see many historical artifacts, including old railroads, tunnels, cabins, and mining flumes. The trail gains roughly 1,600 feet in elevation. To access the trailhead, take Highway 385 to Country Road 299. The trailhead is up a short fire road roughly 4.4 miles after you turn on to Country Road 299. The trail is rated easy.
