Saddle Pass Details
With a view over the White River Valley, Saddle Pass is a difficult yet worthwhile hike. This steep yet short trail climbs up the Badlands Wall, full of striking reds, pinks and purple striations. Early settlers used this route to get to the Interior area. You'll find that the trail splits in two: one way goes to a scenic bluff over the Badlands Wall, the other to the junction of the Castle Trail and Medicine Root Trail. Be careful hiking this trail during or after a rainstorm, as it can get quite slick.
