Ben Reifel Visitor Center Details
At the park headquarters you'll find information, ranger talks and hikes, educational programming and activities. The visitor center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the winter, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from mid-April until mid-May, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from early September until late October. The visitor center is located on Badlands Loop Road. It features a 95-seat theater showing "Land of Stone and Light." A bookstore run by the Badlands Natural History Association sells books, postcards, posters, videos, and other materials. Guided tours, activities and other exhibits are featured at the visitor center. You'll also find accessible restrooms here. Nearby campgrounds include the Cedar Pass Lodge and the Badlands Inn and Campground. These are open during the summer months only. Please call the visitor center for more information: 605-433-5361
