Everett Covered Bridge Details

Most people associate covered bridges with Vermont, but Ohio once had more covered bridges than any other state. Legend states that the Everett Covered Bridge was built after a local man drowned after falling into Furnace Run on a cold winter night in 1877. The story has led to rumors that the bridge is haunted. Today, this is the only covered bridge still standing in Summit County, having survived several floods. The bridge's interesting truss-style construction and scenic locale make it a popular picture-taking spot.
