Webb Overlook Details
This scenic overlook was named after Charles Webb, editor and co-publisher of the Asheville Citizen-Times who wrote editorials in support of the establishment of Great Smoky Mountain National Park and helped swing public support in favor of the park and against the timber companies that wanted to block the acquisition of new parklands in the mountains. See if you can spot Clingmans Dome in the distance beyond the rolling hills and valleys.
