Ramsey Cascades Trail Details

Although less popular than Juney Whank Falls or Indian Creek Falls, this 100-foot spillway claims the title of highest waterfalls in the Smokies, and is equally as stunning as its more well-known counterparts. Surrounded by an array of black locust trees, tulip trees, and rhododendron, the falls are named after a family who once owned a hunting camp in the area. The falls are rather remote and can be difficult to access, but the sight of two streams forming one spillway is truly stunning. Visitors are cautioned not to climb to the top of the falls.
