Grotto Falls Details

Accessed via the Trillium Gap Trail, named for the pretty white and tricolor flowers that are found in abundance along the trail during springtime, these small, but vivacious falls are the only that allow visitors to walk behind the steady stream of water falling from 25 feet above. The wide, level path leading to the falls crosses the stream a number of times, always relying on stepping stones and natural log bridges, and continues past the falls to Brushy Mountain, from which there are decent views of Mount LeConte, and spectacular displays of rhododendron in the spring.
