Albright Grove Details
Albright Grove, named for one of Rockefeller's advisors and a passionate conservationist, is home to some of the oldest, least-disturbed trees in the Smoky Mountains. Accessed via Maddon Bald Trail, the grove is filled with majestic old hemlocks, towering maples, and beautiful magnolias that surround a small, lively creek lined with mossy stones and water-loving wild iris and foamflower. There is a spur trail to the largest tree in the area, which measures 25 feet in circumference, and a high point that allows for better views of the forest.
