The towering pine forest and pristine views over Kezar Lake are only a few reasons why this state park is one of the more scenic places in central New Hampshire. The serene surroundings are also great for outdoor adventure, with plenty of opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating that the whole family can enjoy. The park was established in 1934 by the State Emergency Work Agency and the Civilian Conservation Corps. Unfortunately, a devastating hurricane in 1938 destroyed much of the park and neighboring forest, although much of it has been restored since then.
