Lower Falls Details
With ice-cold water supplied by the Swift River, this waterfall and swimming pool is a popular summer attraction in the White Mountain National Forest. The water is calm, and there are plenty of large, flat rocks where you can lay out or have a picnic. There is also a picnic area with charcoal grills in case you want to throw a BBQ party while you are there. Unlike other swimming holes, this one is easily accessible by car, as it is located right off the Kancamagus Highway. For this reason, it can be quite crowded with groups, families, or tourists as a hike is not required.
