This 44-acre park in Kingston is a laid-back destination that the whole family can enjoy. It is located on the Great Pond and boasts numerous water and land-based activities, including swimming, picnicking and sunbathing. Near the reservoir, you will also find a children's playground, a baseball field, horseshoe pits, and a boat rental shop for kayaks and canoes. There are also several BBQ grills and firepits if you would like to host a would cook-out, although a covered pavilion can also be rented for larger groups. Due to its location near the Massachusetts border, this park can be quite busy with tourists and visitors traveling up from Boston. On the weekends, it is recommended to come early to claim your picnic table or beach spot.
