Located just a short drive from the border to Maine and Canada, this outdoor campground is an ideal place to spend a few nights in nature. It is part of the larger 1,648-acre Connecticut Lakes State Forest. Many of the 25 campsites are perched close to the river, so there is a good chance you can score a spot with a picturesque view of the water. However, river views are not the only thing that attracts visitors. During the late spring and summer, you might also be able to see wild moose roaming through the forest.
