Experience Glacier National Park aboard the iconic 1930s Red Buses, whose roll back tops provide open air views of the park towering peaks and expansive skies. With knowledgeable driver guides sharing insight into Glacier geology, wildlife, and history, this full day tour offers one of the most comprehensive journeys through the park. Each historic bus seats 16 passengers in close bench style seating, reflecting its vintage design. Operating June 20 through September 20, 2026, this 8 to 9.5 hour tour begins in the cedar and hemlock forests of the Lake McDonald Valley and travels along the Going to the Sun Road to Logan Pass, known as the Crown of the Continent. The route continues through the St. Mary Valley, across the prairies of eastern Montana, and into the dramatic Swiftcurrent Valley. Guests may enjoy an optional lunch stop at Many Glacier Hotel before returning to the west side with additional scenic views along the way. Departures are available from West Glacier KOA, West Side Parking, Village Inn at Apgar, and Lake McDonald Lodge, with morning departures and late afternoon returns. Adult and child rates vary slightly by pickup location. Lunch is not included in the tour price. Operating dates, schedules, and pricing are subject to change.
