Snyder Lake Trail Details

This is a perfect medium-length day hike. You'll start in old-growth cedar forests and climb into spruce and fir territory as your elevation increases. Snyder Lake sits at the foot of Mt. Brown, Edwards Mountain and Little Matterhorn. If you look up at the surrounding rock faces you'll likely be able to spot waterfalls spilling down the mountainside. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. Access is via the Sperry Trailhead across from Lake McDonald Lodge.
