Scenic Point Trail Details
You can guess with a name like Scenic Point, the views on this hike must be pretty good. It will not disappoint. This hike starts as an easy walk, taking you near a viewing point for Appistoki Falls. While you can't get close to the falls, you can reach a great viewing vantage point before continuing on the Mt. Henry Trail. Most of this hike offers great views, but the actual Scenic Point offers panoramic views of Two Medicine Valley. You can see lakes and even the town of East Glacier and as far away as the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Scenic Point is also one of four sites in Glacier with a locomotive bell, installed in the Swiss custom of placing bells on mountain tops and passes for hikers to ring. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. Access is via the Scenic Point Trailhead on Two Medicine Road.
