Baring Falls Trail Details
It's only about a 75-foot walk from your car to see Sunrift Gorge. Baring Creek, a small stream, created the gorge by cutting through a natural break in the rock. Turquoise water now runs through the deep gorge. After taking in the view of the gorge, continue on for a short hike below the bridge. About a quarter-of-a-mile away you can see Baring Falls. This waterfall drops about 25 feet over a rock ledge feeding into Baring Creek. You can return to the car from here or continue on to St. Mary or Virginia Falls. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. The trailhead is at Sunrift Gorge.
