Kabetogama Ice Road Details
The Kabetogama Ice Road runs between the boat launch at Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center and the boat launch at Ash River Visitor Center. The road is only open when the lake ice is thick enough to support a vehicle, and route and length may change depending on ice conditions. The speed limit on the ice road is 30 miles per hour. When crossing lake ice in the winter, two crossed orange sticks or a sign with a diamond on it means "danger." Thin-ice signs should be taken very seriously.
