Owls Head State Park Details
Owls Head State Park is one of Maine's smaller public parks around Penobscot Bay. Taken care of with the help and cooperation of the coast guard, the focal point of this place is the lighthouse that it provides access too. Though not part of the park, the 29-foot tall structure is a popular site where tourists come to visit, take pictures, and explore the rugged beach. The parking area is only a short distance and an easy hike away from the lighthouse with picnic tables for day visitors to enjoy.
