Otter Cove Causeway Bridge Details
Passing over quiet Otter Cove on this causeway, you can see Cadillac and Dorr Mountains to your right. Notice the notch cut out of the ridgeline, a channel formed by meltwater rushing from under a retreating glacier. This channel created the separation between the two mountains. If you park at the pulloff at the south end of the bridge, you can walk down to the beach. This is a fun place for children to explore the small rocks and hunt for periwinkle snails exposed at low tide. However, make sure not to remove any living creatures from the tidal pools and only collect empty seashells if you wish to take something home.
