Great Meadow Loop Trail Details
Great Meadow Loop Trail was designed nearly 100 years ago to create a beautiful garden trail from downtown Bar Harbor to popular points within the Park. The easy, hour-long loop walks visitors over shady paths, beside old tranquil cemeteries, and next to one of the country's oldest golf courses. Skirting the swampy Great Meadow and crossing small wooden bridges, this pleasant walk under evergreen canopies intersects Jesup Path, Hemlock Road, the Sieur de Monts Spring area, and the Tarn. Trailhead: from the south end of Ledgelawn Ave.
