Gorge Path Details
This path creeps south between Dorr and Cadillac Mountains, under steep cliffs, and around small streams and cascades. The beautiful, moderately graded trail is a shady adventure through a rocky, narrow gorge surrounded by mixed hardwoods and a few hemlocks that survived the 1947 fires. Hikers may have to forge streambeds and cross slippery, moss covered rocks. The path eventually turns west and intersects with trails that climb Cadillac Mountain. Trailhead: 3.8 miles from start of the loop road.
