McCoy Hollow Trail Details
This moderately used trail follows the bluffs of Green River, winding up, down, and around the banks of the river and offering some great views. Starting at the Temple Hill Trailhead and finishing 6.4 miles later at the Wet Prong Trail, the McCoy Hollow Trail provides access to several backcountry campsites. After 0.8 miles, you'll pass a turnoff on the right for the Three Spring Campsite Trail. At mile 4.3, you'll see a trail leading to the McCoy Hollow Campsite. Finally, if you take the trail to its terminus at the Wet Prong Trail, you can turn right to reach the Collie Ridge Campsite Trail. Remember, horses have the right of way and must stay on trails at all times. Hikers should exercise caution and communicate with riders when passing horses in narrow areas.
