Tallulah Gorge Details
As one of the largest canyons in the US, this gorge is of epic proportions. It stretches for nearly two miles and features over 1,000-foot-deep winding crevices covered in a blanket of white oak, beech, and hemlock trees. Although it is not for the faint of heart, the best view of the gorge is from the 80-foot suspension bridge that swings over the canyon. From the bridge, you will be able to see far into the valley towards the rivers and waterfalls nestled between the cliffs. Less adventurous visitors can also enjoy a hike around the rim of the canyon, which also features fantastic views of the surroundings.
