Reed Bingham State Park is a small, but popular, area due to its easy access from the highway. The park has a diverse ecosystem including sandhills, a bald cypress swamp, and a pitcher plant bog that surround a 375-acre lake. The 3.5-mile Coastal Plain Nature Trail is home to nearly 80 percent of the coastal areas plant species, and the states threatened gopher tortoises, and indigo snakes are often seen along the pathways. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent, and water skiers and anglers are welcome to enjoy the campsites and pavilions that are open to the public. Pontoon boat tours are also sometimes available with guides during certain events throughout the year.
