Hurricane Falls Trail Details

This 2-mile roundtrip hike through the Tallulah Gorge State Park takes you up close and personal to one of the biggest natural attractions in the park. Hurricane Falls is a waterfall that plummets through a crevice of a 1,000-foot deep canyon before spilling out into a tranquil pool of water at the base. One of the best views of the falls is over a suspension bridge roughly halfway through the hike. You will be able to gaze directly into the south rim of the gorge and over the Tallulah River. Then, continue down the final series of steps until you reach the bottom of the falls. Remember to bring lots of water and durable shoes the trek back up those 500+ steps is not for the faint of heart.
