Pulaski Shoals Area Details
At the easternmost boundary of Dry Tortugas is Pulaski Shoals Area, a dive site comprising scattered shallow coral heads. Currently marked by a navigational light tower, the shoals caused several boats to wreck prior to the creation of accurate charts and navigational aids. Some remnants of these shipwrecks remain on the ocean floor for divers to discover. More adventurous divers can continue beyond the boundary buoys to a depth of 80 feet. Follow the depth curve and you could likely spot a shark or eagle ray. Be careful diving in these waters as currents can be strong and variable.
