Hidden Valley Details
The Hidden Valley Ski Area, also known as Ski Estes Park, operated here from 1955 to 1991, but it's now closed and all of the lifts and ski-facility buildings are gone. The ski trails remain, however, and the area is still popular for back-country skiing and snowshoeing. A small sledding hill is on the lower slopes of the former ski area. There are no tows but families with young children enjoy the area. You'll find restrooms here year-round. A nice picnic pavilion is adjacent to the parking lot.
