Sign up for an adventure! This is the most exciting one-hour, quarter-mile ranger-led tour which includes a 32 foot ladder, a 12 foot ladder, and a 60 foot exposed cliff face with stone steps. NOT for the faint of heart! If you're afraid of heights or have claustrophobia, you'll probably want to skip this one. This extremely popular tour starts at the north end of the Balcony House parking lot, a one and a quarter hour drive, about 25 miles, from the Visitor Center. You can tour Balcony House Memorial Day Weekend through late October. Tours are $4 per person, and tickets are available in-person only at the Visitor and Research Center, Morefield Ranger Station, Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez, and the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum (which has more limited hours than your other ticket-purchasing locations).
