Curencanti Creek Trail Details

The Curecanti Creek Trail is inverse to most trails, as visitors will find out that you hike down to a cove in Morrow Point Reservoir before hiking back up. The trail starts slowly but becomes steeper and rockier as it follows the creek downhill. There are a few bridges to cross over waterways, before reaching the trail's end. At the terminus, there is a 700-foot tall granite outcropping called the Curecanti Needle--its name undoubtedly taken from its relatively thin pointed apex. The steep rocky slopes along the creek give it a feeling of peaceful isolation.
