Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias Details
Tuolumne Grove is a giant sequoia grove located near Crane Flat, about 16 miles west of Yosemite Village on Tioga Pass Road. While smaller than the Mariposa Grove, the Tuolumne Grove is less visited and provides a more secluded experience. The grove contains approximately two dozen Giant Sequoias, including one which you can walk through. The trail is an easy and smooth descent to the grove; however, you will have to climb the 400 feet back to the trailhead. The trail was once a road used by vehicles visiting the grove. Trailhead: Tuolumne Grove Trailhead parking lot, which is relatively large and can get crowded at times. Restrooms: There is a small semi-permanent pit toilet located at the parking lot.
