Mariposa Grove Museum (S7) Details

This small museum is located where Galen Clark once built a cabin back in 1861. It houses exhibits on the history and ecology of the grove which is home to hundreds of giant sequoia trees. These towering giants are considered to be among the largest living things on Earth and they can live for over 3,000 years. Open 10 am to 4 pm daily (May through September). **Note**: The Mariposa Grove Road and the Mariposa Grove are temporarily closed until September 2017. Roadside marker: S7
