Clark Range View (T11) Details

From this point, Clark Range is visible from across the canyon. A subrange of the Sierra Nevada, Clark Range extends from a north-south direction from Quarzite Peak to Triple Divide Peak. Clark Range is named after Galen Clark, the first guardian of the Yosemite Grant and the first Euro-American to discover the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia trees. The Merced Peak is the highest in the range at 11,726 feet. Also visible are Mt. Clark (11,527 feet), Rafferty Peak, Mt. Starr King (9,092 feet), Gray Peak (11,573 feet), and Red Peak (11,699 feet).
