Cascade/Tamarack Creek (B2) Details
The beautiful Cascade Falls is located just below this point. You won't be able to see the falls from here, however. To get a good view of the waterfall, you need to proceed to the El Portal Road and stop at post M1. Upstream from Tamarack Creek is Tamarack Flat, which receives its name from an earlier name for the lodgepole pine, a very common tree found in meadows throughout Yosemite. Roadside marker: B2
