Damnation Creek Trail Details

This out-and-back hike in Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park will take you from an ancient redwood grove to the rugged coast, dropping significantly on your way to the sea (and climbing on your way back!). Starting from milepost 16 on Highway 101, the Damnation Creek Trail leads 2.2 miles end-to-end and loses 1,000 feet as you go. There are steep grades and switchbacks. Once you reach the bluffs, clamber down to the beach to explore the tidal pools at low tide. Please do not disturb these unique environments or the animals they support.
