Bear Gulch Nature Center Details
The Bear Gulch Nature Center (in the Bear Gulch Day Use Area) is located on the East Side of the park and was previously the historic visitor center for the park. The Nature Center is home to a relief map, seismograph, and a few other exhibits and is occasionally staffed by rangers. There is an active Ranger Activity board at the Nature Center where you can learn about any upcoming events or ranger-led activities for the day. You can find parking, picnic tables and access to several hiking trails from the Nature Center, including access to the Bear Gulch Cave. This parking lot fills up quickly though, so be prepared for an early start or plan to walk or take the park shuttle from the Visitor Center.
