White Tank Campground Details
White Tank is a quiet, small campground, located closest to the north entrance near Twentynine Palms. The 15 sites are small, but can accommodate RVs smaller than 25 feet or tents. As with all campgrounds at Joshua Tree, there are no electrical hookups. Each of the sites is surrounded by enormous boulder outcroppings, making for spectacular photography. It's also a great spot for stargazing. Open: All year Sites: 15 Elevation: 3,800 feet Reservations: No Cost: $15/night Services include: Pit toilets, picnic tables, BBQ grills and fire rings. Potable water is available at Indian Cove Ranger Station, Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds and the visitor center in Twentynine Palms. RVs and trailers must not exceed a maximum combined length of 25 feet. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m, and generator use is permitted only from 7:00-9:00 a.m., 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
