Wildrose Campground Details

Wildrose Campground is a first come, first served campground located high in the Panamint Mountains at 4,100 feet in elevation. Set among mesquite bushes and rolling desert hills, it offers a cooler, more remote camping experience compared to the valley floor. There is no camping fee. There are 23 dirt and gravel sites with no hookups and no potable water available anywhere in the Wildrose area. The nearest water source is approximately 31 miles north at Stovepipe Wells. Each site is exposed to the elements, and the area is known for frequent high winds. Generators are permitted between 7 am and 7 pm. Amenities are very limited, with no dump station, no store, and no on site staff. Trash collection is available year round. Visitors should arrive fully self sufficient and prepared for changing weather conditions. Services and conditions are subject to change.
