Tin Mountain Details

Tin Mountain is a prominent landmark on the south end of Death Valley and an occasional destination for hikers. The highest peak in the Cottonwood Mountains, it stands more than 8,900 feet above sea level and rises more than 7,500 feet above Death Valley in just 7 miles. Hikers tend to approach Tin Mountain from Racetrack Road; there is no formal trail to the summit.
